The Stephenson’s have a family tradition of attending Newcastle as Agrics.  Dating back to 1980 when father, Patrick attended to study Agronomy.
Followed then by three Stephenson cousins, then his son Sam, and finally Rob.

Rob joined Malton and Norton RUFC as a Mini aged 5 years old. He regularly played hooker at all club levels after that. He enjoyed being in the front of the scrum and even aspired to play hooker for North Yorkshire. He went on to Captain the Agric 2nd Rugby Team at Newcastle University, so it felt like a fitting tribute to invite the Newcastle Agrics down to the Gannock at Malton to play an exhibition match and raise funds for the Rob Stephenson Trust.
