Sam and a couple of his friends James Jordan and Philip Mckechnie set of to conquer the Greek Marathon (The Original Marathon). This starts in the town of Marathon (The very same town that gave the distance its name) and ends in the centre of Athens. All three completed the marathon which is a feat on its own as the majority of the marathon is uphill and in a Greek “Autumn” 25 degree heat it is actually classed as one of the hardest marathons on the professional circuit. Even though none of the lads achieved the time they were aiming for, loads of marathon lessons were learnt along the way. All three of the lads would like to thank everyone that supported and sponsored.
